At 19, while still in film school, Josh Paul kicked off his career shadowing a photographer mentor of his on a location shoot for Vanity Fair. The photographer asked him to move a set of pool loungers into frame for the models to lay on. Josh placed the chairs, angling them perfectly, his instinces told him to add a side table, towels and a couple drinks. The Photographer was impressed, “congratulations, now you’re propstylist” he said. And just like that he caught the design bug. He shifted his focus to being a Production Designer. Diving into projects like music videos, comercials, and indie films. He quickly signed with an agency and became a full time Art Director. 13 years later he made the leap up to photographer. A life long dream finally coming true. After covid the entire market changed. Josh reitred from Photo-world and now focues his time on his true passion, screenwriting and directing.
With over 21 years of on-set experience, Josh Paul has mastered a diverse array of creative disciplines. Josh calls Sunset Hills home, he enjoys life with his recently rescued pup, Britney Spears.
