Josh Paul Thomas  

At 19, while still in film school, Josh Paul got his start shadowing a photographer mentor on a location shoot for Vanity Fair. When asked to move a set of pool loungers into frame, Josh instinctively went further—carefully angling the chairs and adding a side table, towels, and a couple of drinks to complete the scene. Impressed, the photographer turned to him and said, “Congratulations, now you’re a prop stylist.” Just like that, Josh caught the design bug.

He soon shifted his focus to art direction & production design, diving into music videos, commercials, and indie films. His talent and versatility quickly led him to sign with an agency, where he built a successful career as a full-time Art Director.

Thirteen years later, Josh made the leap to photography—a lifelong dream realized. After the pandemic reshaped the industry, he stepped away from the photo world to focus on what had always been at the core of his creative drive: screenwriting and directing.

With over 21 years of on-set experience, Josh Paul has developed a deep mastery across multiple creative disciplines. He now calls Sunset Hills home, where he enjoys life with his recently rescued pup, Britney Spears.
